2020 High School Pele Awards Update

In partnership with the Hawaii State Department of Education Career & Technical Education Department, our program (the only one of its kind in the US) had almost 400 entries from schools all across the islands.

We'll be announcing the winners on Friday, May 15 at 5pm HST when the new High School Winners Website goes live.

A special mahalo to our local advertising and design professionals, who served as judges this year, for your time and participation in our first-ever virtual awards selection!

The High School Pele Awards honors creative excellence in the art of advertising and design.

With over 350 entries last year, the 3rd annual High School Pele Awards recognizes creative excellence in advertising and design across the islands. The competition is open to students grade 9-12 who are enrolled in an accredited public or private school in Hawaii. Homeschool students who are Hawaii residents are also eligible to enter.

All work entered must be created between January 1, 2019 and February 9, 2020.

Work may be developed specifically for this competition or entrants may submit work from previous projects and/or competitions. Group and/or individual work entries are acceptable.

Entrants must use royalty-free music and images. Entrants can create work for real or made-up clients.

$5 fee for each entry.
